This text is provisional and under legal review. It will be replaced by its final version.

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms (the "Terms") govern the use of the Getstockage mobile app and the getstockage.com website (together, the "Platform") and the services provided by Getstockage.

The Platform connects people who offer a storage space (the "Hosts") with people looking to store their belongings (the "Renters").

By creating an account, you accept the Terms, including their appendices: Appendix 1 (Getstockage Guarantee) and Appendix 2 (withdrawal form). If you do not accept them, you may not use the Platform. The French version prevails.

2. Who we are

The Platform is operated by Liflio, a French SAS with a share capital of 5 000 €, registered with the RCS Bordeaux under number 930 697 339, with its registered office at 18 rue Eugène Le Roy, 33800 Bordeaux, France ("Getstockage"). Getstockage is the trading name of the service operated by Liflio.

  • EU VAT number: FR88930697339
  • Contact, complaints and content reports: contact@getstockage.com, or in the app
  • Personal data: contact@getstockage.com

Full legal information is in the legal notice: https://getstockage.com/mentions-legales/.

3. Definitions

  • Space: a cellar, box, garage, attic, parking space, warehouse or other premises offered for storage.
  • Listing: the description of a Space published by a Host.
  • Booking: the agreement between a Host and a Renter for the use of a Space, made through the Platform.
  • Start date: the first day of the rental, chosen at Booking.
  • Monthly payment: each amount paid by the Renter for one month of rental (or for a shorter period calculated pro rata).
  • User: anyone with an account, whether acting as Host, Renter or both.
  • Content: any text, photo, review, message or other item published or sent by a User.

4. Getstockage's role: an intermediary

Getstockage is an online platform operator (article L111-7 of the French Consumer Code). Getstockage:

  • is not the owner, landlord or operator of the Spaces;
  • is not a storage provider or a bailee: it never takes possession or custody of stored goods;
  • is not a party to the contract between the Host and the Renter.

The Booking contract is made directly between the Host and the Renter. It is the provision of a storage space (a lease of a thing, articles 1709 et seq. of the French Civil Code). It is neither a residential lease nor a deposit contract. [TO BE VALIDATED BY COUNSEL: legal qualification of the Host–Renter contract.]

Getstockage provides its own services: the Platform, account verification, Listing review, collection of payments on behalf of Hosts, the Getstockage Guarantee (Appendix 1), support and moderation.

Private and professional Hosts. Each Listing states whether the Host acts as a private individual or a professional. When the Host is a private individual, consumer law does not, in principle, apply to the contract between the Host and the Renter. The rights these Terms give the Renter (cancellation, withdrawal, Guarantee) nevertheless apply to every Booking.

Ranking of Listings. Search results are ranked by the following criteria: [CRITERIA — TO CONFIRM, e.g. distance from the searched place, chosen filters, quality badge, average rating]. No Host pays for a better ranking.

5. Account and access

  • You must be at least 18 and have the legal capacity to contract.
  • One account per person. The information you give must be accurate and up to date.
  • You can sign up by e-mail or with a third-party sign-in (Google, Apple). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the activity on your account.
  • A professional Host acts for business purposes and gives the information that identifies them (company name, registration number, address).

6. Identity verification (KYC)

For everyone's safety, Getstockage verifies:

  • the e-mail address and phone number, before a first Booking or a first Listing;
  • the identity (photo of an ID document and a selfie), before a Listing is published and before a first Booking is paid.

Identity checks are made by the Getstockage team, which visually compares the selfie and the ID document. The documents are kept in a private storage area and deleted 30 days after the decision (see the Privacy Policy).

The "Verified" badge means these checks were done. It does not guarantee the User's behaviour.

Hosts. To receive payouts, the Host opens a payment account with our provider Stripe and accepts its terms (Stripe Connected Account Agreement). Stripe carries out its own regulatory identity checks. No payout is possible until they are complete (section 11).

7. Listings and review

The Host publishes an accurate and fair Listing:

  • a faithful description of the Space (type, area, dimensions, access, storage conditions: humidity, temperature, flood risk, pests…);
  • at least 3 recent, real photos of the Space;
  • monthly price, availability, access hours and conditions, rules of the Space;
  • precise access instructions, shared with the Renter only once the Booking is confirmed.

Review before publication. Each Listing is reviewed by the Getstockage team before going live. Getstockage may refuse a Listing, ask for changes or remove it if it breaches the Terms or the law, and gives the reason. This review is not a physical inspection of the Space.

Before publishing, the Host sees the applicable commission and the net amount they will receive (section 10).

8. Booking

  1. 1The Renter chooses a Start date and, optionally, a planned end date. Before paying, they see the full monthly price, the amount and date of the first charge, the cancellation policy, the Getstockage Guarantee and the list of prohibited items. They confirm they will not store prohibited items.
  2. 2The Renter saves a payment method (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay) through Stripe. If the Start date is 6 days away or less, the first Monthly payment is authorised on the card at that point.
  3. 3The Host accepts or declines the request after viewing the Renter's profile. Without a reply within 48 hours, the request expires.
  4. 4The Booking is made when the Host accepts it. If the request is declined or expires, nothing is charged and any authorisation is cancelled.

If the Start date is within 14 days of the Booking, the Renter must expressly request that the rental start before the end of the withdrawal period (section 13).

9. Monthly billing, no commitment

The rental is monthly, with no minimum term. A planned end date is only indicative: billing stays monthly until the rental ends (section 12).

  • First Monthly payment: charged on the Start date.
  • Following payments: charged automatically, with no further action by the Renter, on each monthly anniversary of the Start date (for example the 12th of each month for a rental that started on the 12th). [TO CONFIRM: rule for a Start date on the 29th, 30th or 31st.]
  • Last payment: calculated pro rata for the days up to the end date. [TO CONFIRM: calculation method, e.g. monthly price × days used ÷ days in the period, identical to the payments module.]

Failed payment. If a Monthly payment fails, it is retried 2 days and then 5 days after the first failure. The Renter and the Host are notified at each attempt. The Renter can update the payment method in the app. After 10 days unpaid, the Booking is passed to the Getstockage team, which contacts both parties. Persistent non-payment is a serious breach that allows the Host to end the rental (section 12). [TO BE VALIDATED: what happens to the goods after persistent non-payment, see section 17.]

At launch, only cards (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) are accepted. Payments in cash or outside the Platform are prohibited.

10. Prices, fees and commissions

Prices. Prices are shown in euros, including any applicable taxes. The Renter always sees the full monthly price and the first charge before paying. The amount shown is the amount charged.

Renter: 0% service fee. The Renter pays only the monthly price set by the Host.

Host: commission on each Monthly payment.

Monthly payment chargedGetstockage commission
Before 31 March 2027 at 23:59 (Paris time) — launch offer0%
From 1 April 2027 at 00:00 (Paris time)8% of the Monthly payment, with a minimum of €2.50 per payment

What counts is the date each Monthly payment is charged, not the Booking date. [TO CONFIRM: the commission includes VAT.] The commission is deducted from the amount transferred to the Host. The Host sees the commission and the net amount before publishing the Listing, on each Booking request and in the "Earnings" area.

Creating an account, downloading the app and publishing a Listing are free.

Changes to fees. Getstockage may change its fees or commissions, or introduce new ones, for the future. Any increase or new fee is announced at least 30 days before it applies, in the app and by e-mail. For professional Hosts, this notice is never less than 15 days (Regulation (EU) 2019/1150, the "P2B Regulation"). New fees apply only to Monthly payments charged after they take effect. If you do not accept them, you may end the rental under section 12 or delete your account at no extra cost.

Collection on behalf of Hosts. The Host authorises Getstockage to collect, in the Host's name and on the Host's behalf, the amounts paid by Renters, through Stripe. Payment by the Renter to Getstockage counts as payment to the Host. Getstockage does not store card numbers. [TO BE VALIDATED BY COUNSEL: compliance of the funds flow ("separate charges and transfers") with payment services rules.]

11. Payouts to Hosts

Getstockage holds the collected funds until each transfer to the Host's Stripe account:

  • First month: transferred 72 hours after the Start date, unless a "space not as described" report (section 14) or a Getstockage Guarantee claim is open. The transfer then takes place after the team's decision.
  • Following months: transferred 2 days after each successful Monthly payment.
  • The amount transferred is the Monthly payment minus the applicable commission (section 10).
  • No transfer takes place until Stripe's identity checks are complete. The amounts remain owed to the Host and are transferred as soon as the checks are complete.
  • Stripe then pays the funds out to the Host's bank account on its automatic schedule.

If a dispute is open on a Booking (section 23), future transfers for that Booking may be suspended until it is resolved.

12. Cancellation and ending a rental

The same rules are shown on the Listing, at checkout, on the Booking and in the Terms.

SituationConsequence
Renter cancels within 14 days of the Booking and before the Start date (right of withdrawal)Full refund, however close the Start date
Renter cancels 48 hours or more before the Start dateFull refund, or no charge
Renter cancels less than 48 hours before the Start date, once the 14-day period after the Booking has ended7 days of rent go to the Host; the rest is refunded. Getstockage keeps nothing
Renter cancels after the Start date, within 14 days of the BookingPays pro rata for the days used (with their express early-start request); the rest is refunded (section 13)
The Space is not as describedReport by midnight (Paris time) on the day after the Start date (section 14). Full refund after review
Renter ends an active rental15 days' notice, at any time. The last payment is charged pro rata up to the end date
Host ends an active rental30 days' notice, except for a serious breach by the Renter, reviewed by the Getstockage team
Host cancels before the Start dateFull refund for the Renter. A cancellation is shown on the Host's profile; after 3 cancellations in 12 months, the account is suspended for review

The 7-days-of-rent rule therefore never applies during the 14-day withdrawal period (section 13).

Rentals are ended from the Booking in the app. Refunds are made to the payment method used, within [14] days.

13. Right of withdrawal

[TO BE VALIDATED BY COUNSEL — proposed wording.]

Period. A Renter who is a consumer has 14 days from the conclusion of the Booking to withdraw, without giving a reason (articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). Getstockage and the Hosts grant this right for every Booking, whether the Host is a private individual or a professional.

Starting before the end of the period. If the Start date is within 14 days of the Booking, the Renter ticks a box, before paying, expressly requesting that the rental start before the end of the withdrawal period (article L221-25). This request is not a waiver of the right of withdrawal.

Consequences.

  • Withdrawal before the Start date: full refund, even less than 48 hours before the Start date (the 7-days-of-rent rule in section 12 does not apply).
  • Withdrawal after the Start date, within the period: the Renter pays pro rata for the days used up to the date they give notice of withdrawal; the rest is refunded.
  • The refund is made within 14 days of the withdrawal, to the payment method used.

How to withdraw. From the Booking in the app, by e-mail to contact@getstockage.com, or with the form in Appendix 2. Any unambiguous statement is enough.

14. Space not as described

If the Space does not match the Listing (area, access, condition, storage conditions), the Renter reports it by midnight (Paris time) on the day after the Start date, from the Booking, with photos.

While the report is reviewed, nothing is transferred to the Host. The Getstockage team asks the Host for an explanation. If the report is justified, the Renter gets a full refund and the Booking ends. The Renter collects their goods within a reasonable time agreed with the Host.

15. Getstockage Guarantee

Every Booking includes, at no extra cost, the Getstockage Guarantee up to €500 (€100 excess) for the Renter's goods in case of theft with break-in, fire or water damage in the Space during the rental.

The Getstockage Guarantee is not an insurance contract and is never sold separately. Its conditions, exclusions and claim procedure are in Appendix 1.

Hosts must be insured (section 18). Renters are advised to check whether their home insurance covers goods stored away from home.

16. Prohibited items

It is prohibited to store:

  • perishable food (food, unsealed drinks, fresh produce);
  • dangerous or flammable materials: gas bottles, fuel, chemicals, explosives, fireworks, damaged batteries;
  • illegal items and weapons: drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods, weapons and ammunition;
  • living things: animals and plants;
  • items whose smell, leakage or decay could damage the Space, waste, and anything prohibited by the rules of the Space or of the building (copropriété).

The Renter confirms before each Booking that they will not store prohibited items. In case of serious doubt (immediate danger, smell, leak), the Host contacts Getstockage and, in an emergency, the relevant services.

17. Access to the Space and end of the rental

  • The Renter accesses the Space at the hours and on the conditions stated in the Listing.
  • The Host may not open containers or handle the Renter's goods. The Host may only enter the Space during the rental with [48 hours'] notice, except in an emergency (loss event, danger).
  • Entry photos. At drop-off, the Renter takes dated photos of their goods and of the Space in the app (inventory). They are a condition of the Getstockage Guarantee.
  • At the end of the rental, the Renter removes all their goods and returns any keys or badges.
  • Goods left after the rental ends: the Host may not sell, dispose of or keep them on their own initiative. The Host contacts Getstockage, which follows up with the Renter. [TO BE VALIDATED BY COUNSEL: procedure for abandoned goods.]

18. Host obligations

The Host warrants that they:

  • have the right to rent out the Space. If the Host is a tenant, they must have their landlord's written consent, including on the price (article 8 of French law no. 89-462 of 6 July 1989);
  • comply with the building rules (règlement de copropriété) and applicable safety rules;
  • hold home or third-party liability insurance covering the Space, and are advised to tell their insurer about the rental;
  • offer a Space that matches the Listing, is safe and is accessible on the agreed conditions;
  • respect the Renter's privacy and the confidentiality of their goods.

Tax and social obligations. Amounts received through the Platform may be taxable and, where applicable, subject to social contributions. For a private individual renting out a bare space (cellar, garage, parking space, box), they are in principle property income (revenus fonciers); the micro-foncier regime applies in principle when the household's gross annual property income does not exceed €15,000. The Host alone is responsible for their tax returns. More information: impots.gouv.fr. [TO BE VALIDATED: current regimes and thresholds, special cases (space within the main home, extra services, professional Host).]

Tax information and annual summary. Under article 242 bis of the French General Tax Code, Getstockage informs Hosts of their tax and social obligations at each transaction, and sends them each year, by 31 January at the latest, a document summarising the amounts they received through the Platform in the previous year. [TO BE VALIDATED: content and date under the current wording of article 242 bis and articles 1649 ter A et seq. of the General Tax Code.]

DAC7 reporting. As a platform operator, Getstockage must collect and verify certain information about Hosts (including identity, address, date of birth, tax identification number, bank details, address of the Space, amounts received and number of rentals) and report it each year to the French tax authority, which may share it with other Member States (Directive (EU) 2021/514, "DAC7"). The Host receives a copy of the information reported about them. If this information is not provided after two reminders, Getstockage may suspend the Host's payouts and account until it is provided. [TO BE VALIDATED: transposing provisions, calendar and final data list.]

19. Renter obligations

The Renter agrees to:

  • use the Space only to store goods they own or are entitled to dispose of, and never as a home or place of business;
  • not store prohibited items (section 16);
  • follow the rules and access conditions of the Space and return it in the condition they found it;
  • not sublet the Space or make it available to a third party;
  • pay the amounts due through the Platform.

20. Reviews

  • Hosts and Renters can review each other after each completed rental. Only someone who actually made a Booking can leave a review.
  • Reviews are published once both parties have left theirs, or at the latest 14 days after the rental ends. They are dated and cannot be changed by their author after publication.
  • Nothing is given in return for reviews. Positive and negative reviews are published in the same way.
  • Moderation: Getstockage does not check the accuracy of the facts reported, but may refuse or remove a review that is abusive, discriminatory, off-topic, contains personal data or is clearly false. The author is told the reason.
  • The Host may reply publicly to a review.

21. Content, zero tolerance, reporting and blocking

Zero tolerance. Getstockage accepts no objectionable content or behaviour. Prohibited in particular: hateful, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, violent, sexually explicit, misleading or fraudulent content, illegal content, impersonation, spam and any infringement of others' rights.

Report and block. In the app, every User can:

  • report a User, a message, a Listing or a review;
  • block a User, who can then no longer contact them.

Handling reports. Reports are reviewed by the moderation team within 24 hours. If there is a breach, Getstockage removes the content and may suspend or permanently ban the User concerned.

Illegal content. Anyone, even without an account, can report illegal content to contact@getstockage.com, stating the content concerned, the reasons and their contact details. Getstockage tells the reporter what action was taken, and tells the User concerned of any measure taken and the reason. The User can contest the decision at contact@getstockage.com. [TO BE VALIDATED: obligations under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, the Digital Services Act.]

Licence. You keep ownership of your Content. You grant Getstockage, for as long as it is published, a free, non-exclusive licence to host, display and technically adapt it on the Platform and to promote the Listing concerned. [TO CONFIRM: use of Listing photos in Getstockage's marketing.]

22. Messaging

Hosts and Renters communicate through the in-app messaging. It may not be used to agree or pay for a Booking outside the Platform. Getstockage may read messages when handling a report, a dispute, a Guarantee claim or fraud prevention.

23. Disputes between Users

  • If there is a problem, first talk to the other party through the messaging.
  • If you cannot agree, either party can use "Report a problem" from the Booking (description, category, photos). Future transfers for that Booking are then suspended.
  • The Getstockage team reviews both parties' evidence and proposes a solution: no action, partial refund or full refund of the amounts it holds. [TO BE VALIDATED BY COUNSEL: scope of Getstockage's decision.]
  • The parties are kept informed at each step. They keep the right to go to the competent court.

24. Complaints and mediation

Complaints can be sent to customer service: contact@getstockage.com or in the app.

Consumer mediation. If you are a consumer and your written complaint has not been resolved, you can use Getstockage's consumer mediator free of charge: [to be completed] — [to be completed] (articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). The request must be made to the mediator within one year of your written complaint.

EU online dispute resolution platform. The EU ODR platform closed on 20 July 2025, so no link to it is provided.

25. Liability

  • Getstockage is liable for the proper performance of the services it provides itself (Platform, payments, payouts, verification, moderation, Getstockage Guarantee), under general law.
  • As Getstockage is not a party to the contract between the Host and the Renter, it is not liable for its performance, in particular the condition of the Space or of the stored goods, unless it is at fault and without prejudice to the Getstockage Guarantee.
  • Getstockage uses reasonable means to keep the Platform available; interruptions for maintenance or incidents may occur. They are announced in advance where possible.
  • Nothing in the Terms limits Getstockage's liability for personal injury, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or deprives consumers of their statutory rights. Any clause found to be unfair within the meaning of article L212-1 of the French Consumer Code would be deemed unwritten, without affecting the other clauses.
  • Each User is responsible for the Content they publish and for meeting their own legal obligations.

26. Suspension and termination

  • You may stop using the Platform at any time.
  • Getstockage may suspend or close an account, or remove Content, in case of breach of the Terms, fraud, risk to others' safety or a legal obligation. Except in an emergency or a serious breach, the User is warned in advance; the User is always told the reason and can contest the decision at contact@getstockage.com.
  • For professional Hosts, a restriction or suspension is explained when it takes effect, and permanent closure of the account is notified with 30 days' notice, except for a serious breach or a legal obligation (Regulation (EU) 2019/1150).
  • Ongoing Bookings are handled under sections 12 and 23.

27. Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app (Profile > Settings > Delete my account) or without the app, by following the page https://getstockage.com/suppression-compte/. Deletion is only possible once ongoing Bookings are completed or cancelled and payouts owed have been made. Some data is kept to meet our legal obligations (see the Privacy Policy). Your published reviews are anonymised.

28. Intellectual property

The Platform, the Getstockage brand, logos and content created by Getstockage are protected. Any reproduction without permission is prohibited.

29. Personal data

How we process your data is described in the Privacy Policy: https://getstockage.com/confidentialite/.

30. Changes to the Terms

Getstockage may change the Terms to reflect changes in the law or in the services. Users are notified by e-mail and in the app at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect (never less than 15 days for professional Hosts). Fee increases follow section 10. If you do not accept the change, you may delete your account before that date at no cost. Bookings already made remain subject to the Terms in force when they were made, except for changes required by law.

Transfer of the service. Liflio may transfer the operation of Getstockage, together with the contracts made with Users, to a dedicated company that takes over the Getstockage business (in particular a company being set up), provided the transfer does not reduce Users' rights. Users are informed by e-mail and in the app at least 30 days before the transfer, including the identity of the new company. They may delete their account at no cost before that date. Ongoing Bookings continue on the same terms.

31. Governing law and jurisdiction

The Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence.

In case of dispute, and after an attempt to settle it amicably, a consumer may bring proceedings, at their choice, before any court with territorial jurisdiction under the French Code of Civil Procedure or before the court of the place where they lived when the contract was made or when the harmful event occurred (article R631-3 of the French Consumer Code). For professional Users, the courts with jurisdiction over Getstockage's registered office have jurisdiction.

Appendix 1 — Getstockage Guarantee

Nature. The Getstockage Guarantee is a commitment by Getstockage to Renters, included in every Booking at no extra cost. It is not an insurance contract: it is not provided by an insurance company, it is never sold separately and it does not replace insurance. It limits neither the Host's liability nor the Renter's claims against the Host or a liable third party.

Beneficiary. The Renter, for their goods stored in the Space during the rental.

Amount. Getstockage Guarantee up to €500 (€100 excess). The loss is taken into account up to €500 per Booking and a €100 excess is deducted: payment = accepted loss capped at €500, minus €100. The amount paid is therefore €400 at most per Booking. Examples: €300 loss → €200 paid; €800 loss → €400 paid; loss of €100 or less → nothing is paid. [TO CONFIRM: how the loss is valued (replacement value, wear and tear, proof).]

Covered events, occurring in the Space during the rental (from the Start date to the end date):

  • theft with break-in;
  • fire;
  • water damage.

Conditions.

  • dated entry photos taken in the app at drop-off (inventory);
  • a claim filed in the app within 5 business days of discovering the loss, and no later than 7 calendar days after the rental ends; after that second deadline, the app no longer accepts claims;
  • for theft, a police report within 48 hours of discovery, with the receipt attached to the claim.

Exclusions.

  • cash, jewellery, precious metals, securities;
  • art or collectibles worth more than €500 per item;
  • prohibited items (section 16);
  • vehicles (parking Bookings);
  • normal wear and tear;
  • humidity damage in an unsuitable Space when the Renter had been warned (Listing or messaging);
  • gradual damage (for example mould or slow leaks).

Claim and handling.

  1. 1The Renter files the claim from the Booking, within the deadlines above ("File a claim"): description, date of discovery, list and value of the goods, photos, proof and, for theft, the police report receipt.
  2. 2The Getstockage team acknowledges receipt, asks the Host for an explanation and may ask for more documents. During the review, the transfer of the first month to the Host is suspended (section 11).
  3. 3Getstockage gives its reasoned decision within [15] business days of receiving a complete file. The payment is made within [X] days by [PAYMENT METHOD — TO CONFIRM].
  4. 4The Renter can contest the decision at contact@getstockage.com, then use mediation (section 24) or the courts.

[TO BE VALIDATED: Getstockage's right of recourse against the Host or a liable third party after payment.]

Insurance. Hosts must hold home or third-party liability insurance and are advised to tell their insurer. Renters are advised to check whether their home insurance covers goods stored away from home, especially valuable items.
