For renters: no service fee
The price you see is the price you pay. Before you confirm, the app shows the full monthly price including VAT and the amount of the first charge. No service, admin or booking fee is added.
- First month: charged on the rental start date.
- Following months: charged automatically every month, on the same date as the start.
- Payment: by card, through Stripe, in the app. Never cash.
- Price: set freely by each host and shown on the listing.
For hosts: 0% commission during the launch
After the launch offer, the commission is 8% of each monthly payment, with a minimum of €2.50 per payment, which covers payment costs. Renters still pay no fee. You always see the commission and your net amount before you publish a listing and on every request.
| Monthly rent | Until 31 March 2027 | Then: commission | Then: you receive |
|---|---|---|---|
| €25 | €25.00 | €2.50 (minimum) | €22.50 |
| €60 | €60.00 | €4.80 | €55.20 |
| €100 | €100.00 | €8.00 | €92.00 |
| €150 | €150.00 | €12.00 | €138.00 |
- Payouts: the first month is paid out 72 hours after the rental starts (unless a claim is open), then every month, two days after the renter’s payment.
- Free to list: publishing a listing costs nothing.
- Price changes: any change is announced at least 30 days in advance, in the app and by e-mail.
Monthly, with no long-term commitment
Every rental is monthly. You can give a planned end date, but nothing ties you beyond the current month: the renter can end the rental at any time with 15 days’ notice, and the last period is charged pro rata. Hosts must give 30 days’ notice, except for a serious breach reviewed by the team.
Cancelling and ending a rental
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Renter cancels within 14 days of booking, before the start | Full refund, always (right of withdrawal). |
| Renter cancels at least 48 hours before the start | Full refund, or no charge. |
| Renter cancels less than 48 hours before the start, more than 14 days after booking | 7 days of rent go to the host and the rest is refunded. Getstockage keeps nothing. |
| The space is not as described | Report it by midnight (Paris time) on the day after the start, with photos. Full refund after review by the team. |
| Renter ends an active rental | 15 days’ notice, at any time. Last period charged pro rata. |
| Host ends an active rental | 30 days’ notice, except for a serious breach reviewed by the team. |
| Host cancels before the start | Full refund for the renter. The cancellation is recorded on the host’s profile. |
Right of withdrawal: you have 14 days from booking. If the rental starts before that period ends, at your express request, and you then withdraw, you only pay for the days used, pro rata. Details are in the Terms.
Getstockage Guarantee up to €500 (€100 excess) included
Every booking includes the Getstockage Guarantee at no extra cost. It is never sold separately. It covers the renter’s stored belongings up to €500 per booking, with a €100 excess, for theft with break-in, fire or water damage in the space during the rental.
- Conditions: dated photos of your belongings taken in the app at drop-off; claim filed in the app within 5 business days of discovery; for theft, a police report within 48 hours.
- Exclusions: cash, jewellery, precious metals, securities, art or collectibles worth more than €500 per item; prohibited items; vehicles (parking bookings); normal wear; humidity damage in an unsuitable space the renter was warned about; gradual damage.
- It is not insurance. Hosts must hold home or liability insurance. Renters, check whether your home insurance covers belongings stored elsewhere.
How we compare with other platforms
To help you compare, here are the fees published by two other French peer-to-peer storage platforms, taken from their own terms.
| Platform | Platform fees | How they apply |
|---|---|---|
| Getstockage | 0% until 31 March 2027, then 8% of each monthly payment (minimum €2.50) | Paid by the host; €0 for the renter |
| Jestocke | 25% incl. VAT of each monthly payment (minimum €5) | Taken on each monthly payment |
| Costockage | 22% incl. VAT, added on top of the host’s price | Paid by the renter on top of the host’s price; 0% for the host |
Worked example: a space at €60 a month for 3 months
A host sets a price of €60 a month; the rental lasts 3 months, so €180 of rent. Here is what each platform takes, based on the fees above.
| Platform | Renter pays | Host receives | Platform fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Getstockage (launch offer) | €180.00 | €180.00 | €0.00 |
| Getstockage (after 31 March 2027) | €180.00 | €165.60 | €14.40 |
| Costockage | €219.60 | €180.00 | €39.60 |
| Jestocke | Depends on how the price is set | Depends on how the price is set | €45.00 |
